World No.15 Nitchaon, who was seeded second in Saarbrucken, beat top seed Zhang Beiwen of the US 21-17, 15-21, 21-19 in the Bitburger final. It is the 26-year-old's second win in the tournament after her success in 2013. She also praised the national coaching staff, led by Indonesian Rexy Mainaky, for making the Thai players perform better. Meanwhile, Young Dane Rasmus Gemke won the men's singles title at the Bitburger Open for his first Grand Prix Gold crown.
